A Global Delivery Monitoring System (GDMS) online to track cargo, delivery and remittance service worldwide. The original business highly depended on manual process with outdated MS Access database. The ultimate objective was to take GDMS to the next level making it a SAAS (Software as a service), which is a model of business whereby a provider licenses an application to customers for use as a service on demand.
GDMS was an enterprise level project. It was challenging, motivating project and after much hard work, dedicating time and efforts, our team successfully delivered what the client needed resulting in a much improved online SAAS system with smoother workflow. Our team used AJAX technology to provide Rich Client work environment with more efficient user experience. Their requirement was to organize different level of privileges into Top Admin, Unit Admin, Staff and Customer. It is to allow one administrator to manage several units and those units manage several employees under them. Batch management, cargo management, day to day deliveries, delivery status updates, staff information, user accounts, pick-up schedule, schedule reports, creating and printing invoices and bar code scanning were some of the key features of this web application.
